At the Avalanche Summit in Barcelona, the Canadian musician and record producer Grimes announced she plans to launch an \u201cintergalactic children\u2019s metaverse book.\u201d Grimes\u2019 children\u2019s metaverse book project is part of a $100 million initiative started by the Avalanche Foundation and the non-fungible token (NFT) launchpad OP3N.<\/strong><\/p>\n On March 22-27th, at the Avalanche Summit<\/a> at Poble Espanyol in Barcelona, the NFT launchpad OP3N and the Avalanche Foundation announced a $100 million initiative dedicated to Web3 entertainment called Culture Catalyst. Ava Labs president John Wu said that Culture Catalyst will bolster Web3 entertainment apps on the Avalanche network.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Avalanche Foundation\u2019s Culture Catalyst Initiative with OP3N marks a watershed moment for entertainment and pop culture applications on Avalanche,\u201d Wu explained. \u201cUsers can expect the already robust Avalanche NFT scene to grow into new areas and be part of a fresh chapter in the history of culture on Web3.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to the Culture Catalyst, the Canadian musician Grimes<\/a> revealed<\/a> that she plans to launch an \u201cintergalactic children\u2019s metaverse book\u201d as one of the projects from the initiative. While talking to Avalanche Summit guests from a video screen, Grimes talked about Web3 and how she was pleased to help OP3N\u2019s efforts.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I first got into Web3, this was the kind of project I was hoping to see,\u201d Grimes told<\/a> the audience. \u201cI\u2019m very excited to be partnering with OP3N to launch a series of educational art for babies and small children with the goal of creating a profound experience for babies that is also deeply meaningful to adults,\u201d the musician added.<\/p>\n Grimes has been involved in the non-fungible token (NFT) ecosystem quite a bit over the last two years. Grimes is also Elon Musk\u2019s wife and the mother of his child \u201cX \u00c6 A-12.\u201d In March 2021, Grimes teamed up with the NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway to introduce her NFT collection entitled \u201cWarnymph Collection Vol. 1.\u201d The NFT collection obtained around $6 million and the NFT called \u201cNewborn 1 & 3<\/a>\u201d was fractionalized<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI hadn\u2019t dropped any NFTs since the first drop because of the environmental concerns.
