He was speaking at a conference of heads of prosecutor\u2019s offices of European states in St. Petersburg Wednesday. The event is co-organized by the Council of Europe and the International Association of Prosecutors.<\/li>\n<li>Krasnov said that virtual assets have become a source of income for criminals, emphasizing that cryptocurrencies are being used for corruption, including bribery. \u201cThe latency of these criminal acts has recently been aggravated by the use of crypto assets as bribes,\u201d he asserted, adding that cryptocurrency exchanges have been used as \u201ca way of laundering stolen funds.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- growjs zone placement 31 --><ins> <ins class=\"growjs-placement\"><\/ins> <\/ins> <!-- end of growjs zone placement --> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The prosecutor general noted that the adoption of the law on digital assets in July last year was \u201ca significant step in overcoming this problem.\u201d He was quoted as saying:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>A serious challenge is the criminal use of cryptocurrencies in our country \u2026 Currently, work is underway to amend the criminal procedural legislation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><em><strong>What do you think about Russian drafting law to allow the confiscation of crypto assets in criminal cases?
