Moreover, the digital currency trading platform FTX is rumored to be launching a Coinbase futures market before the public listing. <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two days ago, on December 17, 2020, Coinbase <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bitcoin.com\/coinbase-files-paperwork-with-sec-to-launch-public-offering\/\">announced<\/a> filing registration papers with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). \u201cThe Form S-1 is expected to become effective after the SEC completes its review process, subject to market and other conditions,\u201d the San Francisco exchange detailed.<\/li>\n<li>Recent analysis from messari.io analyst Mira Christanto <a href=\"https:\/\/messari.io\/article\/coinbase-ipo-could-command-28-billion-valuation?utm_source=newsletter&amp;utm_medium=top&amp;utm_campaign=coinbaseipo\">details<\/a> that the company recently changed members of the board and included former Cisco CFO Kelly Kramer, Google veteran Gokul Rajaram, and venture capitalist Marc Andreessen. Christanto says that the final preparations of the IPO \u201ccould see the company valued at $28 billion.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Business Insider\u2019s financial columnist Meghan Morris has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/coinbase-taps-goldman-sachs-upcoming-ipo-crytpo-exchange-bitcoin-2020-12?r=AU&amp;IR=T\">revealed<\/a> that Coinbase will leverage the financial institution Goldman Sachs to lead the IPO. The Goldman Sachs deal was allegedly confirmed by two industry sources, but the San Francisco exchange has yet to confirm the choice.<\/li>\n<li>Digital Currency Group\u2019s founder Barry Silbert was pleased with the Coinbase filing announcement and tweeted about the registration on Thursday. \u201cThanks to the Coinbase IPO, the acquisition price of a bunch of crypto companies is about to go way way higher,\u201d Silbert <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BarrySilbert\/status\/1339664800390012940\">tweeted<\/a> to his 242,000 social media followers.<\/li>\n<li>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/ftx-futures-coinbase-listing-ipo-regulation\">report<\/a> published by Coindesk, FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried told the reporter that the team is planning to launch Coinbase IPO futures if the Form S-1 is greenlighted by U.S. regulators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- growjs zone placement 31 --><ins> <ins class=\"growjs-placement\"><\/ins> <\/ins> <!-- end of growjs zone placement --> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>FTX has already launched a pre-IPO futures market for Airbnb and has also created Trump and Biden presidential election futures as well. Bankman-Fried told the reporter Zack Voell that the pre-IPO Coinbase futures launch could be \u201cvery soon\u201d or \u201ccould also never happen.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The exchange Coinbase launched in 2012 and is one of the most popular digital asset providers worldwide.
