On September 4-6, Bitcoin Cash engineers will be holding the third annual developers’ conference dubbed “BCH<\/a> Devcon III.” More than 30+ bitcoin cash ($8,300) will be available in prizes for winning teams who participate in the 72-hour hackathon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Software developers are gearing up for the third annual hackathon, BCH Devcon III<\/a>, an event that’s aimed at fueling Bitcoin Cash (BCH<\/a>) development.<\/p>\n

The event’s website<\/a> explains that the community of programmers will gather for 72 non-stop hours of hacking and all the participants can compete for the top prizes.<\/p>\n

Similarly to the voting process used in the past, BCH<\/a> Devcon will leverage project votes from sponsors via the Simple Ledger Protocol. Additionally, prizes will be airdropped via a SLP dividend calculation tool.<\/p>\n

\"Developers<\/p>\n

On Friday, September 4th, 2020 at 00:00 UTC, the hackathon coding will begin and the event will kick off with a live stream of the event.<\/p>\n

At 00:00 UTC on Monday, September 7, the coding will stop. BCH<\/a> Devcon workshops will be hosted by well known software engineers like Chris Troutner<\/a> with a seminar on the Bitcoin Cash JavaScript Library.<\/p>\n

Other workshops will include the SLP JavaScript Library (JT Freeman), SWAP Protocol (Vin Armani), BCH<\/a> C#\/.NET API (Fernando Pelliccioni), Bitcoin Cash Smart Cards (Tobias Ruck), and an “Introduction to Cashscript,” by Jerry Qian.<\/p>\n

Currently, BCH<\/a> Devcon III has five sponsors including FullStack.cash<\/a>, Satoshi’s Angels<\/a>, Grapefruit Trading<\/a>, General Protocols<\/a>, and Bitcoin Bay<\/a>. The event is hosted by a Bitcoin Cash community leader from southern California, Christian, who also operates the Bitcoin Cast<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, BCH<\/a> Devcon III is being organized by the organizer of the BCH<\/a> Devcon hackathon in Amsterdam, Eléonore Blanc<\/a>.<\/p>\n
