I&rsquo;ve written about <a href=\"https:\/\/opensource.com\/life\/15\/10\/octohat-github-non-code-contribution-tracker\" target=\"_blank\">finding who those people are<\/a> in GitHub projects, but in this post I&rsquo;d like to discuss <em>how<\/em> to thank them.<\/p>\n<p>Giving someone a genuine &#8220;thank you&#8221; is hard. It can be awkward and make you feel vulnerable&mdash;but done right, a heartfelt thank-you can be truly meaningful.
